Our Mission

We are an interdependent community space that thrives on a sovereign system of core values:

The Local Life Hub is a community space to gather. We offer values-based programming, a healthy food hub, office space, and a place to connect on a deeper level. We promote community health and local food through building relationships and providing education because we believe the future is rooted in local connections. We strive to create an multi-generational community that empowers members to build interdependent relationships.

Our Founders

Rachel

Rachel Blalock is planner, organizer, and entrepreneur. She is known for running the Asheville Food Buying Club, Naturally Connected Life, and Volunteer Coordinating at SOLA. Her background is in organizational administration, regenerative agriculture, and education. She truly believes that everything is connected and knows that the future is based in local relationships.

Taryn

Taryn moved to Asheville in 2020 with the intention to put down roots after traveling throughout the USA. This powerhouse mama of 3 has organized several events for our freedom loving community.  She is an entrepreneur, creator of The Unity Web and also the Creative Director for Millions Against Mandates. Taryn is known for her resourcefulness and ability to turn visions into reality.

Mallika

Mallika is a licensed marriage and family therapist,  trained group facilitator and organizational consultant. She leads community gatherings, women’s groups and helps couples create a more satisfying and authentic relationship. Mallika grew up in an intentional community in California and brings wisdom from many arenas of her life to the creation of a community rooted in interdependence and functional relationships.

Kim

Kimberly recently moved to Asheville from Hawaii where she founded Conscious Pregnancy Retreats and destination births. It was during this 10 year period she truly understood the importance of a nurturing community. She brings the experience of starting and running her own businesses for over 20 years. Currently she is the Animal Arts Teacher at SOLA and grateful for the opportunity to help create the Hub that will provide a space to support the needs and desires of many.
